How to explode your Network Marketing Business on the Internet

Sad Day for Our Family

April 7, 2008 – 4:40 pm | by Burke Jones - The Internet MLM Pro

Today my wife and I had to make a really tough decision. 13 and a half years ago, before we had kids, we became the proud owners of a beautiful Dalmatian which we named Sadie.

She was a great dog, always very healthy - and turned out to be wonderful with our children as our family grew.

Over the past several months she really began to fail. In the last couple of weeks it had gotten really bad. She appeared to be in extreme pain, and would simply fall over walking across the floor - and forget about her going up or down stairs alone. The average life span of Dals is 11-13 years, and she had exceeded that by 6 months.

We had been to the Vet several times in the last couple of months, and there was simply nothing that could be done for her at her age.

So this morning we had to say our final good byes to our family pet and she passed away peacefully with me at her side. It will be strange and quiet night for us all.

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with business, but I have found it hard to focus today - it is strange how a pet dog can become such a part of a family!

We will miss you Sadie!

    Hey Burke:

    Pets do become family!
I feel for you and your family…Hope your boys are dealing with it well.

I had to put the family pet to sleep 4 years ago. My wife did not want to stay home so she went to work. After I left the vet I could not stop crying….I’m driving and called the office and told them there was no way I was coming in.

I could not believe how attached I was.

You and your family are in my prayers. Peace!

    Sorry about Saide.

Truth is that it absolutely has things to do with business.

Look at the metaphor in it.

How many times have you built a relationship so strong with a business partner, sometimes over several years. They really do become part of the family.

Then, something happens in their life, and for some reason they fall off the go-getter track, they lose motivation, they lose steam, whatever it is, metaphorically, they get sick like your dog.

Then, you are left with a tough choice. Stay with them, keep dragging them along, and let the emotional burden get even heavier…or…let them go.

So, you love them, but you let them go.

    Enjoy,

My sister just had to do the same thing with her dog of 15 years. Sad, but that’s real life.

Our personal life certainly can affect our business life. People would do well to not only learn the technical side of marketing, but get on a self improvement programe personally.
