How to explode your Network Marketing Business on the Internet

Is It Really About Your Product?

May 21, 2007 – 9:50 am | by Burke Jones - The Internet MLM Pro

Everyday I get “pitches” from other network marketers trying to sell me on their opportunity. Typically they spend most of the time telling me how great their product is.

So do people really join your business because of the product?

Surprisingly the answer is Yes and NO!

Lets start with the “Yes” portion first. In my company I know that around 75% of the associates were product consumers before they became associates. I have a feeling that most of them became associates just to get the product cheaper - since they were using the product, day in and day out. However, they never joined the company to really GROW a business - you want new associates that will be business builders.

Now lets switch to the NO portion. People join your business, not because of the incredible product, but rather they join your business either because of you or your system.

They can see themselves working with the system you present, or your team presents. They want a business, and the product is simply secondary. Sure they might grow to love the products, and become true evangelists, but they initially joined the company because they could see themselves plugging into your system.

So now the big question is - Do You Have a System? I am not talking about the tired recruiting systems of the 1980’s - like hotel meetings, buying expensive leads, etc.

I am talking about cutting edge systems using the power of the internet to market both the business opportunity and the product. Once my team understood this, we put our heads together and developed a system that anyone can plug into and begin generating their own leads for the products and business. Our business is now exploding and we are working less!
