Best MLM Advertising Opportunity - Free MLM Leads

do you find is most successful in getting targeted

Thanks for the great question Margaret! As you know I am a big proponent of not spending a ton of money on advertising, until you have some revenue coming in. This is the biggest pitfall of most MLM’ers - they spend themselves right out of business.

So lets talk about getting free MLM leads. First I want to define what a “free” lead means to me. A “free” lead means that even if I have to spend money to generate the leads, I will at least break even - but preferrably generate a profit - from this lead even if they never join my primary business.

You have to have a way to monetize your leads or you will go broke before you even have a chance at success in this tough business. You can monetize your leads a number of ways from selling your own information product to sending them to other sites where you will generate commissions as an affiliate.

Now that we have that covered, I will share my favorite method with you that I use all the time. Please understand it is my favorite method “right now” - I am always looking and testing to find other streams of leads and traffic.

My favorite method right now is List Joe. When you sign up for List Joe you will be able to email other members of List Joe. You generate credits in the system by visiting the sites other people are promoting when you receive email from List Joe. You can then exchange these credits at a one to one ratio - which means if you have saved up 300 credits, you can email 300 random List Joe users.

If you really want to ramp it up, be sure and take advantage of the “one time offer” that is displayed when you first sign up. You only get one chance, so be sure you have your credit card handy when you sign up. I took this offer and it is worth every penny of the $197 that I paid for it! I can easily earn 700 to 1000 credits a week, so we are talking about some major reach by using this system. Everytime I send an email using List Joe I generate leads and make some cash!

Winning The Pinewood Derby

So its that time of year again for the annual Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Both of my boys are active in Cub Scouts, so this will be our third year of racing. We have learned a ton over the last few years, and the boys want to go all out to win it big time this year.

Last night we sat down to plan our strategy for this year, as the race is a few weeks away. We opened the box the cars came in and began to study the raw blocks of wood, the axles (nails) and tires.

I started talking to them about the key factors that affect the speed of their cars. We discussed the role of friction and where friction is created in their cars. We came up with the following: wheels to axle, wheels to body, and wheels rubbing on the track rail.

If you wondering at this point how this relates to your network marketing business, hang on just a bit and I will bring it together.

Once we had identified the sources of friction we started talking about how we could reduce the friction at those points of contact. We decided to polish the axles, use graphite and be sure that the wheel to body contact point was very smooth and had a film of graphite on it as well.

After I tucked them in for the night, I began to reflect on friction in business, especially building a network marketing business on the internet.

For your business to succeed, there are a couple of big points of friction you need to “oil”:

Lead Generation - you need a constant flow of new leads or prospects coming into your system. Once you have this part mastered, life gets much easier. Imagine what 20 or 30 new leads a day would mean to your business!

Incoming Cash - Your business must have cash to survive - this is not negotiable. When generating leads online, you need a way to profit from those prospects even if they never join your primary business. You can do this simply by promoting other peoples products as an affiliate, or really explode your income and create your own product. You must pursue cash at all costs - it is one of the biggest points of friction and if you don’t your business will die.

You can begin to work from a point of power - the power that having lead abundance and positive cash flow will give you. People will be attracted to you, because of the solutions you can provide them.

Getting Started With Online MLM Leads

I received a phone call today from one of my subscribers. We had a great conversation, but the core of the conversation centered around the feeling he had of being overwhelmed. This is a common problem when you are first getting started generating your own leads on the internet.

The problem is that there is so much information out there about list building and traffic building you can easily become overwhelmed and not have a clear picture of where to get started.

I will share with you exactly what I focus on and recommend that you focus on to get started and keep from getting distracted.

Step One: Get plugged into a generic lead generation system. The top two that I have used are:
- Power Prospecting System
- Magnetic Sponsoring

The best part of these systems is that you don’t have to design your own landing page, get web hosting and all those other things that take a big learning curve. This is all provided with these systems, and is actually one of their biggest benefits.

Step Two: Once you have your account set up with one of the generic systems noted above, it is time to focus on traffic generation. Your number on concern should be generating as much qualified traffic to your personalized landing page at these systems - more traffic = more leads = more money = more signups in your primary business.

Are You Buying MLM Leads?

As often happens I received a call from a guy that wanted to “talk shop” about the network marketing industry. As typically happens, he immediately launched into a high pressure sales pitch to get me to join his network marketing business. I let him go on for a while, then I turned the tables on him and led him through a series of questions.

The first question I always ask this type of person is this: “Are you buying MLM leads?”

Invariably I get the same answer over and over. Yes, I buy 100, 200, or even 500 leads a month - the answer varies per person. However when I ask the next tough question, how many people have you sponsored and how long have you been cold calling these leads, the answer is almost always the same - ZERO! Sure there is the rare person that has sponsored people, that is if they are actually telling me the truth.

The cold hard fact is that most of us will never be able to sponsor enough people with purchased leads to grow a substantial organization before we run out of money. Even if we do sponsor people, how many of them will actually have the stomach to do what we have done? Not many!

In fact when I first got started I had spent thousands of dollars on leads, hours and hours on the phone and I was scared to death! I had no idea what I would do to help a new associate get started when I finally did sponsor someone. I felt physically sick when I realized that I was leading others down the same dead end path I was on.

You have doomed your MLM business to fail if you are purchasing MLM leads and only calling them one time - with no other way to make money if they don’t join your primary business.

This is exactly why I turned to the internet and put myself in a position of lead abundance and positive cash flow. No longer do I hang on each new lead and act from a position of desperation - the internet allows you to completely change your mindset.

Once you start generating your own leads, and stop buying expensive un-targeted MLM leads - you are now in charge of your destiny. The easiest way to do this is to plug into a generic prospecting system that does all the work for you.

Two Simple Online MLM Prospecting Systems

If you are just getting started coming to the realization that you will have to be online to generate the quantity of leads you need to grow your MLM business at a record pace - you are most likely completely overwhelmed. If your still building your network marketing business using the tired old school methods that have been around since the 70’s - it is time to step up your game and get started with a network marketing internet system.

How to Get Started in Internet Network Marketing

In my book, there is no better way to build a network marketing business than to use the internet to literally attract new associates to you like a magnet. What I have seen is that people have a hard time getting started when they decide to build their business in this manner - there is simply to much information available and they wind up in paralysis by analysis and make not headway towards their goal.

Remember, network marketing is still based on relationships even if you are building your business on the internet. There is no better place to build relationships than many of the Web 2.0 sites that are popping. Of course the grand daddy of them all is MySpace. You don’t have to have any special web design skills to get your profile page set up and active. Get it made and then start making friends. Don’t hammer everyone with a heavy handed marketing approach - show value and people will be attracted to you naturally.

By using just these two simple techniques you will be able to start a regular flow of traffic to your landing pages. It is best not to get caught up in every new “traffic craze” that the gurus are trying to sell you on. Just stick to the basics and before you know it, you will have more leads than you have ever had and your team will be growing at a record pace!

MySpace is Your Space for MLM Success

If you are looking for simple ways to start generating leads and growing your MLM business on the internet you really need to take a second look at using MySpace to grow your business.

When I first heard about MySpace I always thought it was only used by the younger, teenage and college crowd and there was really no serious exchange of information. 2. Start sending messages to those that interest you. There are some really interesting profiles that have been created. Find one of a like minded individual and get the conversation rolling. Don’t just pitch your business from the start, think about creating a friendship first and then go from there.

Marketing on MySpace is a very powerful approach, but you have to be careful. The best way is to have a very nice profile page, keep it focused on your business, but don’t be afraid to show your personality as well. Remember, this is a social environment, and you need to have some fun as well as conducting business.
