In this second installment of my ongoing My World Plus case study I share some stats with you and take a look at my current conversion rate from free tour takers to full member/associates.

So how can you turn your business around and create a bullet proof scenario for success?
It is actually a very simple plan that can be broken down into 3 easy steps:
1. Begin building on the internet. In todays economy people that are searching for a home based business immediately think of the internet as the first stop for a business. You need to be generating your own free leads using the internet.
2. Put yourself in a position of profit. If you are not making money in your MLM you have a very expensive hobby not a business. When you generate leads as indicated in step one, you need to market products and services to those leads where you make commissions when a lead makes a purchase. Then you can sponsor the real business builders from a position of profit.
3. Drive massive traffic to your landing pages or lead capture pages. It is actually easier today than ever before to drive massive traffic to your web sites. The best way is to tap into the huge traffic sites like YouTube, MySpace, EzineArticles and other social sites offer. It is very easy to build you “reputation” or position yourself as a leader using this free tools.
Using this simple system will allow you to build a MLM business that is immune from failure. The traditional methods taught by nearly every MLM company out there simply will not work for 95% of the population. So start building your business on a solid foundation today.

In our last installment I talked about how to create magic in your business so that you could literally insulate yourself from those things that create failure for so many in this industry of MLM or Network Marketing.
I promised I would give you a quick road map, so just like the children in “The Magic Treehouse” book who point at a picture and magically transport to that location - you can “magically” insulate yourself from failure.
There are two ways to create this insulation, and virtually guarantee yourself success - if you take action.
First, put yourself in a position of lead abundance! You will never do this by bugging your friends and family or buying expensive leads…you must create your own.
The best way to do this is to simply create your own lead capture page on your own website and drive traffic to that page. However….
If the thought of creating your own thing is keeping you from getting started, the next best thing is to plug into a generic system, that brands you as a leader - and does all the heavy lifting for you. All you need to do is add traffic.
The best generic system I know of is Power Prospecting System (<= Click there) by Daegan Smith. This system brands you as a leader, has high converting landing pages, and gives you the entire system on a silver platter.
The next thing you need to do is give yourself a way of earning money! As your leads enter your system, you need a way of making money from them even if they never join your primary business.
The easiest way to do this is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing allows you to offer your subscribers other peoples products, by recommending them, and when they purchase you make a healthy commission.
However, if you are not using PPS, where should you turn to find affiliate products for this niche?
One quick way is to simply look at the sites of products you have found for a link that says “Affiliate Program” or something like that.

I was at the airport a couple of weeks ago and I needed something to read on my trip. So I picked up Donald Trump’s newest book called “Think Big and Kick Ass”. Wow, what a interesting read….
For starters I love how Donald writes - I like his style. This book was a quick read even though it comes it at 368 pages - yes the print is big with plenty of white space
So what did I get out of it? Plenty! If you are positioning yourself as a leader in this industry of Network Marketing, I can assure you that you will to.
What is the biggest thing I took away from it? Work harder than anyone else and you will succeed!
The book was loaded with stories from Donald’s own life the clearly bring this point home. Even at his lowest points financially, he still worked hard, took chances - and clearly kicked a__.
There is no doubt that Donald is ruthless in business - much more than I would ever be, however, he seems to justify his style in a manner that ends up making sense.
Donald does not “think” he is a leader - he KNOWS he is a leader (and even speaks repeatedly of how good looking he is and his great hair). I do think this is an important thing for us to think about as MLM’ers - stopping “thinking” you are a leader and simply acknowledge that you are! Leadership is not given it is a mindset that is taken.
Should you read “Think Big and Kick Ass”? Absolutely, it was worth every penny I spent on it. And as a bonus it has given me tons of ideas for articles and emails - so stay tuned….
The other day I was discussing my business with an associate who is just getting started building online. For some reason he was having real difficulty getting started - taking the action necessary to see success.
This conversation reminded me of this proverb that I had heard many years ago, and still keep posted on my bulletin board. I like it because I really think it says a lot about taking action in life and business.
“You can’t cross a chasm in two leaps.” - Ancient Chinese Proverb
I see far to many people really want to acheive success, but they simply fail to take the actions necessary for success. Here are some of the common causes I see:
- Seeking Perfection: People are so critical of their work, they fail to ever launch. Listen folks, if you are getting started, it does not have to be perfect to work! You can always tweak and redesign later, just get something out there.
- Feeling Overwhelmed: Many people look at my business or other leaders online, and think they have to have everything in place on day one. You don’t need to have your own products, you don’t need to videos, articles, multiple websites on day one. You just need one thing - a lead capture page! Then you can build from there!
So isn’t it time to stop standing on the edge of the chasm? Get ready to take that one major leap to make it to the other side - take action on your business today. Figure out how to make just one thing happen everyday and before you know it you will land on the other side of the chasm - the side that few find because they are trying to make two leaps to the other side.
So you are all signed up ready to hand out free malls with your new My Power Malls business - now what? The cold hard truth is that this business is much hard than most people believe when they first get started. No matter how you slice it or dice it, My Power Malls is still built on the network marketing concept. So where should you turn for new leads?
What makes this program successful is getting your malls out to as many people as possible. So should you purchase generic biz-op leads to find more people to present your opportunity to? Unfortunately, this is what many new owners will do, and they will typically be met by failure. What you really need to think about is finding the “right” person to present your opportunity to. It is better to have one really targeted prospect than dozens of unqualified and uninterested prospects - which is typically what you find when you buy leads for you Power Mall business.

This income will allow you to cover your monthly expenses, pay for more advertising and probably keep your spouse or significant other happy!

Most Network Marketers are taught to establish goals or visions to give themselves a destination to carry on when the times get tough. Unfortunately, for most the struggle becomes to big, and no matter how important their goals they simply quit before they are realized.
I have been thinking about this recently in my own business, and I have done three things that help me tremendously, so I thought I should share them so that others may benefit.
1. Big Goals - I always start with my biggest goals first. These are goals that I would like to realize in 3 to 5 years. These are important because they let you dream big and these goals give you the freedom to do exactly that.
2. 6-12 Month Goals - I typically do this at the beginning of the year, but do it whenever it makes sense to you. What I do is take a sheet of paper and write down specific goals to be completed during these time periods. Typically these are task oriented or project oriented. So in my particular business it is setting goals for web site traffic, number of new leads per day and products that I would like to develop for my team and customers.
3. Weekly Based Task List - At the start of each week I indentify the imporant tasks I need to accomplish to work towards my 6 to 12 month goals. These tasks are in addition to the normal tasks I do simply to keep my business running from day to day.
When you break you goals down into specific action and short term tasks and goals, it is much easier to keep moving forward towards you “big dream” goals that you will eventually realized by staying on task.
I am reminded of the question “How do you eat an elephant?”…..”one bite at a time!”
Simply by taking small “bites” on a daily basis eventually you will have “eaten” the entire goal - and you will have realized substantial progress in your business.
I am going to share one of the most powerful mindset you need for success but first I want to tell you a story.
My two boys and I are actively involved in Cub Scouting. Yesterday was the annual Pinewood Derby race. For those I you might not be familiar with the Pinewood Derby it is basically a toy car race.
Each boy receives a block of wood, 4 nails that are the axles and 4 tires. They then carve and shape the wood to look like a car and mount the wheels.
Of course just like anything in life it gets pretty competitive so we ended up spending hours polishing the axles, painting the car and basically making it as fast as possible.
So the day of the race my two boys were nervous with excitement and anticipation.
Each boy gets to race four times. It was interesting to watch their emotions as the races progressed. My oldest son came in third place on the first to races.
He was getting upset because my other son had come in second in both of his races.
Then in his third race my oldest son came in first! Oh boy, his emotions instantly swung the other direction and he was on top of the world.
I found it so interesting how their emotional state could swing so dramatically from the success or failure of thier last task.
This same situation seems to affect many adults as well as they begin to build their MLM businesses.
The mark of a true entrepreneur is that they do not become so emotionally involved it each event. They look at each success or
failure as a learning experience.
When you get to a point in your own mind that each activity is not judged as a success or failure but rather just one point in a journey to success, life becomes so much more fun.
The problem is that most of the ways we are taught to build our MLM businesses simply don’t allow us to reach this point. From my experience it really takes two things to happen in your business before you can get your mind around this.
You have to place yourself in a position of lead abundance. If you have more leads than you can physically contact you don’t get as concerned over every rejection.
But you also must put yourself in a positive cash flow position. You simply cannot continue to lose money each and every month and have the mindset you must have to succeed. If you do not have positive cashflow you don’t have a business you have a hobby.
This is the game I play everyday, and it rocks! So right now make the decision to not ride the emotional roller coaster of each race as my son did. Instead get started today building a real business where emotions don’t have to rule your life.
