Jimbo - yes you can use both sites, I do. However, when you are just getting started, pick your favorite and focus exclusively on promoting just one site. This will keep you from getting overwhelmed, and help you to stay focuses. My favorite system is the Power Prospecting System. It is a bit complicated to understand how to get everything set up, but just jump in with both feet and get it done.

Michael - I like helping people, I hope that shows.

Virginia - His book is only available online. Have you thought about getting the Paypal Debit card? I have one and it works great - when you use it the cash simply is removed from your Paypal account - and you can use it anywhere credit cards are accepted.

Ira - I feel your pain! My philosophy has been to stick with one primary MLM company (actually two, but that is another story) and simply market the heck out of it. My plan has worked!

One of the things I figured out early on was that while I was able to create landing pages, blogs, etc, not everyone on my team could and it became a big stumbling block.

This is the reason I recommend that people simply tap into the Power Prospecting System or Magnetic Sponsoring - and promote their landing pages with laser like focus. Over time this leads to success both in financial ways and the growth of your downline.

With the system I am teaching here all you need to focus on is driving traffic - you don’t need to get bogged down in all the technical stuff. I have had team members make money with the Power Prospecting System the first week they joined my team. In fact they made enough money the first week on my team to completely cover the monthly expenses of our company.

It just does not get any better than that!

My recommendation to Ira, and everyone that feels like Ira is to focus on one thing. Quit buying everything that hits the market. Focus on one proven system like the Power Prospecting System and do nothing but learn to drive traffic to it for 3 months. It works!

I could the videos like you do. I have join other people and their marketing programs but
they all seem to be in so many programs that I
can’t keep up with them, they call them selfs
Guru’s I join Paul Darby an his ITU program all he does is comes with another program to join. I am about to give up on the internet marketing and go back to Network Marketing. I think the people have screw up the MLM with all the programs being marketed on the internet
I have bought all the ebooks all the software
programs join all the monthly memberships I have spend over $6500 since 2003 and still can’t get it together.

Good point on your health. I made a commitment about 3 months ago to do the same thing. I can’t run though (bad ankles) so I started riding my bike again. I do about 13 miles per weekday plus a longer ride on Saturday. Here’s my blog where I write about my biking:

Glad to hear you’re taking care of yourself! I ran into the same issue a few years ago, but in my case I didn’t have the personal strength you had — my wife made me do it!
I took up rugby again at a club near me. Its a great workout, but also a great social experience. Men’s clubs are always recruiting new members, even if you’ve never played before. I highly suggest it as a way to get fit, stay healthy, make friends and have a good time!

I see many people who are “gung ho” when they start their businesses, then fizzle out due to lack of dedication. I think the lack of dedication comes from not having a strong “why” and not being focused on that “why” and their goals. Sometimes slow and steady wins the race!

Truth is that it absolutely has things to do with business.

Look at the metaphor in it.

How many times have you built a relationship so strong with a business partner, sometimes over several years. They really do become part of the family.

Then, something happens in their life, and for some reason they fall off the go-getter track, they lose motivation, they lose steam, whatever it is, metaphorically, they get sick like your dog.

Then, you are left with a tough choice. Stay with them, keep dragging them along, and let the emotional burden get even heavier…or…let them go.

So, you love them, but you let them go.

While Most MLM Programs look promising the reality is that it still comes down to your own efforts. If you are going to wait for others to give you spillover you will be waiting until the cows come home. Amen! I have never met anyone who has ever enrolled in a program that I was promoting unless it was free to join, that didn’t want to talk with me to see if I was a real person.
People are getting sick and tired of people hiding behind voice mails, email, websites, etc. It is almost like people are allergic to the phone, or any human interaction. You have to keep it real.

I had to put the family pet to sleep 4 years ago. My wife did not want to stay home so she went to work. After I left the vet I could not stop crying….I’m driving and called the office and told them there was no way I was coming in.

The process of learning how to generate my own leads has been challenging but the rewards are paying off big time! It is great to be able to track everything you do online rather than just randomly throwing away money like in traditional methods of business building!

The right type of leads is vital, but not only that, once you figure out how to generate the right leads for your business (assuming your sponsor hasn’t figured it yet!) you must ensure your team fully understand how too. I always ensure my team have systems in place from Day 1. Your business is dead otherwise!

The email you sent yesterday really hit the nail on the head and is the same concept I was teaching one of my team members yesterday, talk about attraction marketing. Titled ” Creating MLM Value through Leadership” the principles of changing your minset to that of a leader no matter where you are in your IM career is really essential to building a long lasting, responsive downline and have them follow your lead into other opportunities as well.

Anyway, I thank you for the reinforcement of these principles.

Klaus has made a strong case about his NWM business. But as in all MLM business the last layer of network associates are the real loosers. They are sold a dream to make money like someone who started earlier. But I agree a business built on a foundation of physical assets and a large team of employee should be given its due.

I agree 100%. Trying to market on the Internet without knowing who your target market members are, their values, concerns, hopes, information needs, etc. is like shooting blindfolded with a bouncing target.

Unfortunately it seems that most Internet marketers depend totally on keywords without trying to discover anything about the people who use those keywords.

I call that marketing madness because it just throws time and/or money at marketing with little return on investment.

I believe i have the best MLM product you could ever find that everyone in the world could use. Save $$ on Gas or Diesel and make $$ if you wish. I want to promote Fuel Freedom on the net. I am tired of going to meetings waiting for my guests to show up and most dont

Great post Burke!
I think that another inexpensive yet very powerful method is to use social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube.
That’s just the beginning though. Once you have these set up - the REAL traffic comes from combining social network with social book marking…
It’s all a little labor intensive in the beginning, but after about 60 days rankings and traffic will shoot through the roof!
