Looking for the Best MLM Leads?

One of the biggest struggles in this industry is finding good MLM leads. Unfortunately, most of the problem comes from the fact that the ideal target market has not been indentified before you start your marketing efforts.

Let me illustrate with a quick story…

The other day my lovely Wife sent me to the store with a short list of items that we needed for our home. On the list was written “Finesse Hairspray” - yes it was for her - I am not much of a hair product guy.

So I headed over to the hair spray aisle and began my search. I looked and looked, but could not find “Finesse Hairspray - black bottle.”. I must have spent five minutes looking at each and every bottle on the aisle - who knew there were so many brands of hair product! Finally I came to the conclusion that the store simply did not have “Finesse Hairspray” and finished my shopping.

When I got back to my car I gave her a quick call to see if I needed to go somewhere else. She could not believe that the store did not have it. I said the only black bottle on the shelf was “Tresemme”. At which point she exclaimed, “That’s it!”. She had mistakenly written the wrong brand name down on the shopping list. Sure enough I went back in and instantly found what she wanted.

Now your probably wondering how this story relates to your target market and generating MLM leads for your business, so let’s look at this from a business perspective.

When we first get into this business we are told to target our friends and family. Then when that does not work, we are told to purchase generic business opportunity leads. Sure this tactic might get you a few new associates, but from my perspective these two groups of people are not your ideal target market, and the struggle will continue for you.

Just like when I was trying to find the wrong hairspray on the shelf, and did not have success, targeting the wrong group of people will also lead you to failure.

However, once you identify the precise market to suck your MLM leads from, life becomes much easier. In exactly the same way I instantly found the correct hairspray once I knew the right brand name, you will be able to enroll new associates at a record pace!

You have a New Member!

That was the subject line of an email I received today…

But you really need to hear, as Paul Harvey says, “the rest of the story”!

So, I was attending the annual parent-teacher conference for my oldest son. Who by the way is doing exceptionally well! Am I a proud Dad or what? :)

When I got back in my car after the conference I whipped out my iPhone to see what new email had arrived while I was busy at the conference - yes I am addicted, so leave me alone.

While I was in the conference, I received an email from my Network Marketing company saying that I had just enrolled a new member.

Now, the important thing to understand is that I had never spoken personally with this individual. I had never sent them any email other than what was already loaded in my autoresponder. And yet, this individual still joined my business!

This is what I call leverage! Forget about all that stuff your upline keeps telling you is leverage - junk like buying leads and bothering your friends and family…

If you are ready to embrace the internet, generate your own leads, make money from these leads even if they never join your team AND recruit at the push of a button, maybe you need a new direction.

A team that supports the use of technology and has a proven system in place ready for you to plug into, a team that encourages you to build the business of “You” - and enjoy the profits outside of our primary business, while all the time building our team for the future residual income it offers.

Finding Your Target Market

The market you choose to pursue will have a dramatic impact on the success or failure of your business. There is actually nothing more important that finding the target market in your network marketing business.

Let me explain with a quick story. Last summer I attended Webelos (Cub Scout) camp with my oldest son. On one of the days at camp they got to shoot BB guns. (Which by the way is one of the reasons I love Scouting - it lets boys do things boys like to do, but we have managed to allow them to be politically incorrect - but that is another story!)

The boys were instructed on the range safety, gun safety and proper shooting technique. They were taught how to aim the BB gun by aligning the front sight and the back sight on the target.

Surprisingly the boys were very good shots in general. They were finding their targets, aiming, and hitting the mark.

Now just imagine if they were suddenly blindfolded, and the targeted started bouncing up and down. Do you think they would experience the success they had been experiencing? Highly unlikely!

This same idea holds true in your business. You have to identify the market, by finding out what need or desire your product can fill - this is your target market. Once you understand this your business is bound for success.

However, if you pick wrong, or misunderstand what your target market is, it will be just like shooting a BB gun blindfolded while the target is moving - success will be difficult to obtain.

So before you take your first action in your network marketing or MLM business, be sure that you have identified your target market with laser guided precision. Then and only then will the marketing efforts you make be rewarded with success.

MonaVie Leads - MLM Leads That Convert

As a Mona Vie distributor, you are obviously in constant search for new leads to grow your MLM business. Most companies and uplines will tell you to head over to the nearest lead distributor and purchase some “top quality” leads for your MonaVie business.

Hold on to your wallet! Buying leads is the quickest way to failure that I have ever seen. Sure it works for a very small percentage of distributors, but typically they have spent a bundle to learn the techniques and tactics required for this success. There are two reasons that your upline recommends buying leads for your Mona-Vie business - leverage and money.

Lets break this down and take a look at leverage. You see it works for your upline, because they have hundreds of suckers under them just like you. If a small percentage of their downline manage to sponsor someone it adds up to massive growth for their business. Unfortunately, you will probably never experience the same success.

What about the money aspect? The real industry secret is that your upline is probably making a commission on every lead purchase you make. Just imagine that they make 20% of every purchase you make, and every purchase of the 100 other people on their team - do you think that would add up to some serious cash? I bet it would!

So what can you do so you can manage to stay in this business long enough to experience the true power of residual income we have all been promised?

Simple…generate your own exclusive leads and send them through a funded proposal follow-up sequence, so you can make some cold hard cash, even if they don’t join your primary business!

Think Big and Kick Ass - For MLM Success!

I was at the airport a couple of weeks ago and I needed something to read on my trip. So I picked up Donald Trump’s newest book called “Think Big and Kick Ass”. Wow, what a interesting read….

For starters I love how Donald writes - I like his style. This book was a quick read even though it comes it at 368 pages - yes the print is big with plenty of white space :)

So what did I get out of it? Plenty! If you are positioning yourself as a leader in this industry of Network Marketing, I can assure you that you will to.

What is the biggest thing I took away from it? Work harder than anyone else and you will succeed!

The book was loaded with stories from Donald’s own life the clearly bring this point home. Even at his lowest points financially, he still worked hard, took chances - and clearly kicked a__.

There is no doubt that Donald is ruthless in business - much more than I would ever be, however, he seems to justify his style in a manner that ends up making sense.

Donald does not “think” he is a leader - he KNOWS he is a leader (and even speaks repeatedly of how good looking he is and his great hair). I do think this is an important thing for us to think about as MLM’ers - stopping “thinking” you are a leader and simply acknowledge that you are! Leadership is not given it is a mindset that is taken.

Should you read “Think Big and Kick Ass”? Absolutely, it was worth every penny I spent on it. And as a bonus it has given me tons of ideas for articles and emails - so stay tuned….

Massive MLM Success!

Many times when doing consultation calls with clients they will say something like this:

“You are so lucky to know how to use the internet to build your business…”

Or

“You are so lucky to have a growing team…”

Whenever I hear statements like these I am reminded of a professional golfer name Gary Player. Gary was a top player back in the 70’s, in fact he won 9 majors - and 3 masters - this guy was top rated.

Many of the commentators called him “diminutive” - he was smaller than many of the other players. So how did he do so well on the links?

Simple - he worked harder than anyone else. He was always practicing, excersising and working on his game. He simple out hustled everyone else on the course, before he stepped onto the tee-box.

In the U.S. Open he hit an incredible 5 iron shot and landed the ball right next to the pin and sunk it. The commentators said “Gary, unbelievable, you got so luck.” Here is how he responded….

“It seems the harder I work, the luckier I get.”

I love this statement - in fact it is one of those statements that I keep posted next to my computer.

It really is true - outside of a very few “lucky” people that win the lottery - successful people became succesful by working extremely hard!

So how does this relate to your network marketing business? Simple - get started doing something. Just because you are in network marketing, it is no magic bullet to wealth and success. You simply have to work, put your head down and get busy, and massive MLM success will come your way.

Then people will say to you “you are so lucky”…and you will simply smile and remember this story.

Leaping the Chasm - The Secret of Success!

The other day I was discussing my business with an associate who is just getting started building online. For some reason he was having real difficulty getting started - taking the action necessary to see success.

This conversation reminded me of this proverb that I had heard many years ago, and still keep posted on my bulletin board. I like it because I really think it says a lot about taking action in life and business.

You can’t cross a chasm in two leaps.” - Ancient Chinese Proverb

I see far to many people really want to acheive success, but they simply fail to take the actions necessary for success. Here are some of the common causes I see:

- Seeking Perfection: People are so critical of their work, they fail to ever launch. Listen folks, if you are getting started, it does not have to be perfect to work! You can always tweak and redesign later, just get something out there.

- Feeling Overwhelmed: Many people look at my business or other leaders online, and think they have to have everything in place on day one. You don’t need to have your own products, you don’t need to videos, articles, multiple websites on day one. You just need one thing - a lead capture page! Then you can build from there!

So isn’t it time to stop standing on the edge of the chasm? Get ready to take that one major leap to make it to the other side - take action on your business today. Figure out how to make just one thing happen everyday and before you know it you will land on the other side of the chasm - the side that few find because they are trying to make two leaps to the other side.
