Free MLM Traffic Tips - List Builders

I received a question from Marge the other day that I thought was a good question from someone that is obviously taking action in her business - and made a good question to answer for my free MLM traffic series:

Marge, great question! I also appreciate the links you have sent me, I will check them out as well.

I am a big fan of traffic exchanges and mailing list builders for a couple of reasons. First they take very little time to set-up and keep them running. They may or may not bring in floods of traffic, but when you get a enough trickles from different sources it all adds up to a flowing river of traffic to your landing pages.

I am particularly interested in traffic builders that let you email other users. This is different from a Safe List - which I have not found to be very effective. The type of system I am referring to allows you to email other members of the site to promote your site.

Here are the four of these sites I am using right now to grow my list and build my business:

List Bandit
List Joe
Your Lucky List
ListDotCom

All four of these come with a free version - however, you really want to take a strong look at the one time offer which will be shown only once on your first login to the system. I have purchased the one time offers in all four of these programs because it is worth every penny!

You see the free versions will work, but you will be limited on how many members you can email and how often you can email them. To truely leverage the system, I take advantage of the membership upgrade when offered, which will allow you to email more members, more often.

So what should you email them? Keep your email short and simple. Give you link at least 3 times in the body of the email. You should only promote one link per email - and it should go to a lead capture or squeeze page. The least effective way to use this resource is to send them to your company provided web site.

You would either send the traffic to your personal site or one of the generic prospecting systems out there. You want to get the lead and then be able to build a relationship with that person over time.

MyPowerMalls Leads - The Quickest Path to Success

So you are all signed up ready to hand out free malls with your new My Power Malls business - now what? The cold hard truth is that this business is much hard than most people believe when they first get started. MLM Goals - How To Set Goals Effectively

Most Network Marketers are taught to establish goals or visions to give themselves a destination to carry on when the times get tough. Unfortunately, for most the struggle becomes to big, and no matter how important their goals they simply quit before they are realized.

I have been thinking about this recently in my own business, and I have done three things that help me tremendously, so I thought I should share them so that others may benefit.

1. Big Goals - I always start with my biggest goals first. These are goals that I would like to realize in 3 to 5 years. These are important because they let you dream big and these goals give you the freedom to do exactly that.

2. 6-12 Month Goals - I typically do this at the beginning of the year, but do it whenever it makes sense to you. What I do is take a sheet of paper and write down specific goals to be completed during these time periods. Typically these are task oriented or project oriented. So in my particular business it is setting goals for web site traffic, number of new leads per day and products that I would like to develop for my team and customers.

3. Weekly Based Task List - At the start of each week I indentify the imporant tasks I need to accomplish to work towards my 6 to 12 month goals. These tasks are in addition to the normal tasks I do simply to keep my business running from day to day.

When you break you goals down into specific action and short term tasks and goals, it is much easier to keep moving forward towards you “big dream” goals that you will eventually realized by staying on task.

I am reminded of the question “How do you eat an elephant?”…..”one bite at a time!”

Simply by taking small “bites” on a daily basis eventually you will have “eaten” the entire goal - and you will have realized substantial progress in your business.

Setting Short Term Goals

During the first part of January I took some time to set some specific goals for my business in 2008. This included everything from new products I will am developing, team growth goals and of course income goals.

While big goals are good, sometimes we need to break them down into smaller slices so that we can make progress. So last night that is exactly what I have done.

My short term goal is to get started on PPC traffic. Now I consider myself the “King of Free MLM Traffic”, but I know I am missing out of huge traffic simply because I have not taken the time to get my PPC campaigns set up correctly.

So that is my goal for this week! By the end of the week I will have a whole new traffic stream implemented and generating hot fresh leads for my business.

Generating Great MLM Leads

Question and answer time….

Yesterday I received this great question from Susan:

My biggest struggle is finding leads. I know you have to spend money to make money, but when you are starting out, thats just not feasable.

So if I look a bit below the surface of her email, the real question is how can I get started generating my own leads with little to no money.

It appears that she may be coming from the point of view where she was probably purchasing generic biz-op leads and the cold calling them. From my experience this is simply a quick and painful recipe for disaster. I have never seen one company that will pay enough on a new associate for you to cash flow this - the leads are simply too expensive, and the rejection is to great!

I also think it is a mistake to think that we can build a business - any business (MLM or otherwise) - with no money. You must have some money to get started.

So let me give you a quick run down of a simple system that will get you started with $40 bucks out of pocket maximum - which will allow you to generate your own leads, and make a profit from those leads.

Step One (less than $20.00) - Get a web hosting account (Try Dream Host for a good deal - I use them!)

Step Two (Free) - Create a simple lead capture page. Don’t know how? Just look at some examples and model yours around the ones you like best.

Step Three (about $20.00) - Set up an account at Aweber so that you can actually capture these email addresses and names. Then you will be able to build a relationship via email with your new leads.

Step Four (Free) - Start writing articles and submitting them to the article directories like EzineArticles.com. If you write one article a day you will be amazed how your traffic starts to build.

So you can generate high quality MLM leads using the internet. Just don’t become overwhelmed! Take action on this plan and it will work for you.
